3 x Stubby Claw Hammer

  1. Love it
Perfect for the small toolbox I keep in the house for odd jobs. Feels a little strange at first due to the centre of gravity but it has enough force for most small jobs.Has a magnetic nail holder which I\'ve never used
  2. Not overly keen on the imbalance and would prefer a better weight ratio
Has a strong head, light handle. Not overly keen on the imbalance and would prefer a better weight ratio, however it does the job okay.Note mine came from Amazon warehouse but turned up looking like it had already been used, some other\'s have said similar. This isn\'t a huge deal, it\'s just a hammer after all but if you\'re buying one for a present then either give yourself time to return and get another or buy a different hammer.
  3. Good compact claw hammer.
Bought this as an add on item and its been a handy go to Tool for the odd time you need a hammer. The weight and small size is useful in using it and it has a nice sturdy feel to it for a budget tool, it does the job but I love odd and quirky tools.
  4. Pleased
This hammer is perfect for any job around the house as it\'s small to fit in a lot of awkward spaces (your pocket as well) yet heavy enough for you to have a proper feeling to it and that what you\'re doing will be done. It\'s well made and after 2 years of purchasing it I can say there\'s barely a scratch on it despite doing a thousand jobs with it. Handle is robust and non-slipery. Arrived in expected time and was well packaged.
  5. Good hammer but looks used and scratched.
This seems like a good little hammer. Has a nice weight and the size makes it easy to store. It has a really nice non-slip grip too. I knocked a star off because, as others have pointed out, the hammer is scratched and looks a bit used. Obviously this doesn\'t affect its use, however when you pay for a brand new item you expect it to look new.
  6. A beautiful little thing
This hammer is surprisingly useful. I\'ve used this hammer more times than I thought I ever would. It\'s no toy, I tell you. The build quality is excellent, the steel is solid (and shiny, which I like), the hand grip is ergonomic and your hand wraps around it well enough to feel like it becomes part of it. The transfer of force from your hand to the object you\'re hitting is very efficient and you feel no shocks in your hand due to the design of the grip. Gets you in places where a standard size hammer wouldn\'t. Just a lovely little tool to have, I\'ve used this hammer quite comfortably in those times when I couldn\'t find my bigger hammer. And the bonus? I got this item practically for at no cost because my total spend was very close to £20 and this item was a top up to make it a £20 order which qualified for free delivery.Well done Rolson, a great product.
  7. Perfect for small jobs every now and then
It\'s small, but it suites my needs. I love that it\'s small actually because then I could just keep it the small box I\'m keeping my tools in. I don\'t do a lot of work at home, but you need a hammer around the house for odd jobs here and there - hanging a picture or hammering that nail in the chair. This one does the job perfectly.It\'s not designed for heavy work, so if you need it for that I suggest you borrow a full one. The head is fine but the handle is short so you would need to apply more pressure - both exhausting and dangerous. Also, it might pull out a small nail but don\'t expect to be able to pull out a long concrete nail, it\'s just not designed for that.I love it, and I would recommend it - it\'s much better than using your heels!
  8. Small yet weighty, magnetic head, good handle and very well priced, a bargain.
Often when reviewing items I\'ll take a look at what others have written to see if my views concur with the consensus or wildly out for whatever reason. The reviews for this hammer and mostly excellent, but with the odd ball thrown in for good measure. I noticed a comment saying that it appears to be glued together and with an odd notch in the top. My favourite was a comment that it\'s fine for banging in nails, but for beating you\'re wife to death you\'d need something bigger :)Anyway, my review puts this squarely in the \"I love it\" group. This is a small hammer (see photo, I don\'t have particularly big hands) and perfect for those odd little jobs where a longer handle might get in the way. Interestingly, it\'s not actually that light though, coming in at 384g, a very good weight for something of this size. The handle is black rubberised coated with yellow plastic inserts, including a slot in the very bottom of the handle to add a tether if required. As to the slot in the top, well, it\'s clearly for straightening nails. Also, something I didn\'t spot in the few reviews I\'ve read, there\'s a magnet embedded in the top too. This is great for carrying a few nails to your work location for example, though obviously it makes sense to pull them off before actually starting any hammering.I bought this as an add on item, to save paying shipping on other goods I\'d bought. At £1.80 this is a real bargain, and it saved me a £3.00 delivery charge. It\'s a handy addition to my tool box and I recommend it to all DIYers.
